Consulting tutors made me start a tuition business

After I quit my job in 2024, I started a consulting business for tuition business owners. I talked to some of them. Some had $3 million revenue, some didn’t earn any revenue for the past year.

The one thing I’ve observed: Tutors are good at teaching but not growing a business.

There are some tutors who have been in the same location, doing the same thing, for close to 10 years, but not hitting 7 figures. Only a few knew how to attract tutors to teach for them, manage a team, grow and scale to 7 to 8 figures and above.

And then while consulting these tutors, it clicked:

Why not I just run my own tuition business, with what I learnt from my previous job, and reach 7 figures

How hard can it be? Right now, pretty hard. Haha. But I’m lovin it better than consulting tutors.
