Why I don’t make new friends as a default
It’s all about goals. I’m generally goal oriented, and very focused on achieving them. Which means, I don’t create new friends or commitments that don’t serve my goals:
- building a 7 figure SGD tuition business
- running a 90 mins half marathon

If you disagree with this, lemme say this:

Which means, I live my life in a way that you would not prefer.
I do socialise by going to run clubs (which serve goal #2) and reach out to entrepreneurs to learn and seek advice (which serve goal #1). And I do catch up with friends or ex-colleagues (but not often, maybe once every 3 months or so)
This is a season of no.
Maybe in the future, I might change my mind and make new friends outside these 2 goals.
